さっそく今日のお勉強。
閏（うるう）年 a leap year 今日2月29日は leap day 例文 A leap year is a year containing one or more extra days in order to keep the calendar year synchronised with the astronomical or seasonal year. For example, February would have 29 days in a leap year instead of the usual 28. 閏年じゃない年は 平年 a common year leap year のほか 辞書には bissextile day/year intercalary day/year とも載っていますが、 彼曰く「いい言葉だね〜でも聞いたことがない」だって・・・。 太陽暦 the solar calendar 太陰暦 the lunar calendar 閏年って知ってそうで意外に知らない単語でしたー。 |
