以前mixiに書いたフリーハグのビデオを見て「泣けた！」と
ご無沙汰しているある友人から数日前に連絡をもらいました。

うれしいなあ、自分が感動したことが他の人にも伝わるのって。
そのせいか、私も今朝あの曲が聴きたくなって久々に見ました。

やっぱりいい、最初の数人が特に感動する。

で、フリーハグのオフィシャルサイトを今回ちゃんと読み初めて知りました。

最初の女性は「今朝うちの犬が亡くなって…」と話してハグ、
ほかには「娘が交通事故で死んで1周年で・･･」という方もハグ。

グスン.. 人は悲しい時、ぬくもりが必要なんだよな。。
ただぎゅっと抱きしめてもらうだけで、癒されるんだよな。。

フリーハグを始めた、ビデオの中の男性、Juan Mannさん自身も
故郷の街に帰っても誰も待っていてくれない寂しさから、フリーハグを始めたそう。
ただ笑いかけてほしい、腕を広げて受け止めてほしい、抱きしめてほしい、と。

ちなみに彼、ビデオの当時は推定22歳。ええええ。
どう見ても22歳には見えない。。

それから国際フリーハグデーが今年は7月5日だそうです。
the first Saturday following June 30 each year
何で7月最初の土曜日と言わないんだろ…。
また日本でも各地でフリーハグが行われるんでしょうか。
実際にまだ町で遭遇したことがないので楽しみです。

あ、でも私はその日は日本にはいないなあ・・・。
